Responsibilities:
Interflow interprets both the flow of electricity and the interaction of human beings. Without being close to each other, people will never get the chance to be acquainted. To shorten the distance between people, Interflow is designed to help passengers step closer. To see the changes of circuit on the wall, people may stand near each other, sparkles may then emerge after the first step out.
It is where the sparkles emerge!
Background story
People have been detached toward each other, and the circumstance happens especially at bus stop. Unlike subway station, which has plenty of space, those ones waiting for buses are forced to stay at a specific area.
field study
There are over 7 million people in Metropolitan Taipei. With so many residents living in such a small place, people still can not feel the warmth in the crowd. Some people prefer to stay in the corner,some others choose to walk away. The small city does not help people get closer.
passenger behaviour
Based on street observation, there are 4 most common behaviour among passengers at bus stop: using social media, talking on the phone, reading, and thinking or doing nothing.
age group
According to Ministry of Transportation and Communications of Taiwan, the young and the elderly constitute great parts of bus passengers. Since most teenagers under 20 do not possess automobiles, they have to take public transportation in their daily lives. Based on safety issue, seniors also choose to take busses rather than driving by themselves. As the chart shows, there are over 50 % of bus passengers among people aged 15-18; bus taker also accounts for 1/4 among people above 65 years old.

Smart System
Passengers can check the bus locations easily with the smart screen. To avoid missing buses, passengers can click on screen of the bus and the bus stop where they are taking the bus. After passengers’ click on screen, the stops will flash in red on the map, shown on the bus monitor, and the driver will be informed.
